CHAOS
Overcoming the Overwhelming
Why did you choose to read this book description? Is it because of the cool cover? It’s okay…we have all judged a book by its cover at one time or another. Or is it because the word Chaos completely describes your life right now? Or maybe, just maybe, you thought the author was awesome and decided this book would be a New York Times Bestseller? Probably not the last scenario. If I had to guess, I’d say it has something to do with that overwhelming stress weighing down on you. Reality is, there are many people in this world facing hard times: Anxiety, incarceration, loss, addiction, divorce, sickness, and I could go on, but I need this description to ‑ t on the back of the book…
How do we overcome these overwhelming times? Great question. I don’t have all the right words, which probably isn’t what you want to hear from an author. But I know Who does. His Name is Jesus. And He is the only One Who can bring unexplainable peace in the midst of your Chaos. Whether you are reading this behind prison bars, in the hospital room, at the funeral home, or on the awesome World Wide Web, I hope you choose to read this book. Chaos is inevitable. It comes like a thief in the night— stealing, killing, and destroying all we hold dear. But there is hope. Where the enemy comes to destroy, God comes to rebuild. He comes to restore. He comes to bring life and joy. is book isn’t some self-help book. Nor is it an autobiography. It’s a collaboration of real people experiencing real pain, learning how to overcome the overwhelming. Jesus isn’t just the center of this book. He’s the beginning, middle, and end. And spoiler alert: He always wins.

My son was arrested a few weeks ago. This time has been chaotic for us all. This book gives us all hope that my son can do great things.

This movie was a roller coaster of feelings. I was inspired and I laughed (out loud). But I also cried. When Noah shared about almost giving up and crying out hit really close to home. I almost lost everything and God didn’t give up on me. This book should be nytbestseller.

Out of all the Christian, nonfiction books I have read, this was one of the most interesting reads. Very insightful. Noah Asher was able to take stories like Joseph and Gideon and then make them easier to understand. He pointed out things in scripture i never even paid attention to. I would relate this to a Mark Batterson style of book.

Uplifting book. I also want to mention that Noah Asher talked about UGA. I go to school there! So cool to make the connection between the two. Very uplifting and encouraging.

This book helped me laugh when all I have wanted to do is cry. I stopped to search the scripture that is the basis for the ideas presented. The real life examples with the Bible stories and basis made them relevant to me. Easy to apply to my life during this difficult time. Read it! Whether you are in the midst as the author says or in the aftermath or want to be armed for whatever comes your way, the book offers practical, nonjudgmental advice.

Yes…I did a review and chose the WRONG star!!! This is a 5+ star book!!! My comments remain the same:This book helped me laugh when all I have wanted to do is cry. If I could delete my “oops” low rating, I would. Just noted this today and wanted to clarify this is an AWESOME book that came to me at a very needy time in my life.

To share Noah’s story was a bold move but worth it. I like when he said, “hiding looks like guilt and guilt looks like shame.” I don’t know all the ins and outs of his past but doesn’t matter. I see the Holy Spirit moving through his story. Keep it up

Can I just say, THIS AUTHOR IS FIRE! I felt the presence of God as I read this book. When he talked about preparing for storms to come, I was nodding my head over and over. Growing up in Florida, I know how important preparing is for hurricane season. Noah explained it so well.

Yes and amen. Loved the chapter about friendship called allies. Author explained how important it is to surround yourself with people who will protect you when you feel like the enemy is attacking. The funny moments mixed with scripture is really nice touch.

Noah Asher provides a much needed answer to the question: What’s next after I mess up? His vulnerability and relatability makes this a good resource as well as a good read. I recommend this to everyone who has, is, or will ever go through chaos.

I have a similar story to Noah’s. I lost so much and still bouncing back. This book was personal for me. When he talked about Saul becoming Paul, I was moved. “I cannot allow people who didn’t Call me to cancel me.” Keep sharing the good news!

Noah has such a way with words. Poetic almost. His use of scripture and real life events were so good. It’s now in my little library collection.

To hear the author’s journey with incarceration and loss was so genuine and vulnerable. I have a past too. It broke my heart to read he was spit on once. I don’t want my review to be all about his story. Asher’s ability to spotlight certain scriptures the way he did was amazing. This book is evidence of Jesus still using imperfect people to share His perfect message.
